The organization hierarchy in EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor offers you numerous advantages:
– Invite your team members to work together on your organization’s machines
– Create teams for your customers and enable them to track, monitor and fix their machines
– Use EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor’s role-based access model to provide selected information only to users with the right permission groups
– Customize the color theme of your organization within EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor to fit your corporate identity
Machines which are registered in EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor must be assigned to two organizations – an OEM or machine builder, and a customer which could be the end-user of the machine. Therefore, EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor distinguishes organizations and customer organizations.
Organizations, as OEMs and machine builders, have therefore the ability to invite customers (end-users) to their EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor organization. To provide them with new services for any installed machine in any production facility worldwide.
Organizations (machine builders, OEMs) have the opportunity to create customer organizations within EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor. By inviting their customer contacts to the corresponding customer organization, the organizations can give their customer for instance valuable insights into their machine’s architecture, bill-of-material and documentation or can share the machine data with the customer via Machine Advisor dashboards.

Navigating in Machine Advisor’s Organization Hierarchy
Can one user be members in multiple organization?
Yes, one user can be part of multiple organizations.
The machines registered within an organization are only visible and accessible for all users which are part of the assigned organizations. Since registered machines are assigned to one organization and one customer organization. If a user is part of multiple organizations and wants to view or access a specific machine, it is necessary to select the organization related to this machine.
How can I select an organization?
To select an organization please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click your selected organization
Please note that Machine Advisor will only display organizations in which you are a member.
What is the meaning of the symbols besides the organization name?
you are a member of this
organization
you are the purchaser of this organization
no symbol

How can I create a new organization in Machine Advisor?
To create a new organization please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Create Organization
3. name your organization
4. click Save
Please note that customer organizations can only be created by existing organizations, since they are linked to the organization and selected machines of this organization.

How can I invite a team member to my organization?
To invite a team member to join your organization, please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Organization Management in the navigation bar
4. go to the team member panel and click the Add button
5. enter e-mail address of the new team member you want to add
6. click the Save button to invite your contact to your organization team
After inviting a user to your organization, the potential new team member receives an e-mail invitation to join your organization in Machine Advisor. The invited user has the option to accept or decline the invitation.
New users are added with the role Viewer by default.
How can I create mailing lists for my organization?
You can create multiple mailing list with different recipients for your team. To create a mailing list for your organization, please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Mailing List in navigation bar
4. click the Add symbol in the mailing list search bar
5. enter name of mailing list
6. click the Save symbol to create a new mailing list

To add contacts to a mailing list, please follow the steps below:

2. click Manage Organization

4. select the mailing list in which you want to add your team member
5. search team member

How does the access management for organizations work?
Within EcoSturxureTM Machine Advisor, Access Management enables you to make the right information accessible to the right users of your organization. And enable your customers to manage their own team. Moreover, Access Control allows you to control and specify which activities a user is allowed to perform in your Machine Advisor organization.
ROLES
EcoSturxureTM Machine Advisor offers organizations three different predefined user roles and three customizable user roles. You can assign your organization’s users to one of this six roles. Each of this six roles is connected to different permission groups.
New users are added with the role Viewer by default.

PERMISSION GROUPS
A Permission Group describes a group or specific access rights within Machine Advisor. The permission groups are distributed across four levels. A permission group may have multiple subordinate permission groups which are linked to the permission group of the higher level.
If a permission group is activated, all subordinate permission groups on the linked sub-levels of the selected permission are also activated and can not be deactivated.
The access right for a dashboard will be specified in Monitor: Manage Dashboards based on the user roles.
How can I assign roles to a team member in my organization?
To assign a role to a user of my organization, please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Access Management in navigation bar
4. select the team member whose role you want to change
5. select the role you want to assign to the user
6. click Assign
7. click Agree in the pop-up window to assign the selected role to the user
How can I create custom roles for my organization?
EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor enables you to create and manage up to three custom roles for your organization. You can assign users from your organization to your custom roles. Please note that only the organizations admin can create and manage these custom roles.
Name Custom Role
To name your organization’s custom role, please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Access Management in navigation bar
4. select the custom role you want to rename
5. select the role you want to assign to the user
6. click Edit symbol
7. type in your customized name of the role
8. click Save symbol
Assign Permission Groups to your custom role, based on your organization’s needs
To assign permission groups to your organization’s custom role, please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Access Management in navigation bar
4. select the custom role you want edit
5. click Edit symbol in Permission Group panel
6. select the Permission Groups you want to assign to the role by clicking the check box
7. click Save symbol
8. click Agree in the pop-up window to complete the assignment of Permission Groups to a selected custom role
A custom role must contain at least the permission group Fleet Read Access. Furthermore, all users which are assigned to a custom role will have the permission groups you selected for this custom role.

How can I customize my organization?
EcoStruxure™ Machine Advisor enables you to customize your organization in order to fit your corporate identity. Therefore, you can edit:
– your organizations color theme, and
– upload your organizations logo
To customize your organization please follow the steps below:
1. click organization name (in navigation next to your username)
2. select the organization you want to customize
2. click Manage Organization
3. go to Organization Management
4. apply required customization’s:

1. select one of our six predefined color themes, or
2. create your own theme based on your corporate identity:
– click edit symbol
– customize your color theme (max. 3 different colors)
– click Save

To upload or change your organization’s logo please follow the steps below:
1. click Upload Symbol
2. upload your organization logo (supported formats: .png; max. resolution size: width 600px by height 200px)
